Vinegar Hill is OPEN for sledding fun!
For more than 100 years the City of Ouray has closed a one-block section of 5th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) to provide a place for the youth, and young at heart, to go sledding. This north-facing hill is typically closed to vehicle traffic (but opened for sleds, tubes, and toboggans) from Mid-December to early March, depending upon winter conditions. Bring your own sleds, warm clothes, and enjoy an afternoon on this historic local sledding hill.
